Last night I hosted my first ever professional networking event, which was rather nerve-racking! Not only cause I had to adapt my style and impress a bunch of amazingly talented people, but because it was for a fantastic cause, one that’s close to my heart.
Inspire 2017 was FINALLY my chance to work with the amazing Ella Stern, a local entrepreneur who I’ve wanted to work-with for years! Just our calendars never quite matched at the right times. She brought me in to host the amazing Inspire 2017, a night of inspirational stories and the launch of #ProjectTeen, battling teenage depression - A VERY important issue for me.
I was really anxious & nervous heading into this event as I was sharing the mic with quite frankly, some INCREDIBLE people. All with stories I found close to home, inspiring, relatable; I was in awe of them all!
After a few blips, I managed to find my flow and hit my stride. As my first time at a ‘proper’ networking event, aswell as hosting one, overall I think the evening was superb success!
Once again congratulations to Ella & The Lucky Truth time for the launch of the #ProjectTeen campaign, which has raised over £1000 in 24 hours!
Please get involved with the amazing cause, which I truely believe is needed, from my own personal experiences.
